Reading Interventionist

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Interventionist serves students by assisting with academic success strategies. The primary responsibilities of an interventionist is to support students (tutees) to become more independent learners, persist in school, and reach their goals. Interventionists provide individual and/or group instruction to students across a broad range of courses based on their personal area of expertise. Interventionists meet with students to clarify and review concepts taught in class, explain processes and help students solve specific problems. Interventionists support classroom-centered activities, and as such, the emphasis and content of the sessions is determined by the student’s needs. Interventionists work with Administrators and their designee to support the growth of students.  

 

EXPERIENCE Job related experience is required.

 

EDUCATION NC Teacher Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of hearing, talking, and repetitive motions. While performing the responsibility of this job the employee is regularly expected to stand and walk and sometimes has to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to perform sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
